I have been trail riding since a was nine years old growing up in Southern California. In 1997 living in Seattle, WA, I bought a horse after being “horseless” for several years. As thrilled as I was to be back out trail riding I found keeping dry and warm to be very challenging except for about three months of the year. The Original Rough Weather Chaps came about as a solution to this challenge.

Now that I am living in Idaho, snow, very cold temperatures and wind are not a problem. These chaps are warm and block 98% of the wind when I am out feeding, clearing snow and riding.

I felt that it was important that they are cut to fit real women. Also that they are comfortable and easy to put on. I am also proud that they are manufactured here in the United States.
